I've always been a huge fan of hte guitar, but never had the time to focus on learning it. One day when I wnet through a really bad relationship breakup, I found myself with more time and wanting to focus on learning this great instrument.
These days I'd say that I'm mostly an intermediate level player. Since I started from scratch, I now regularly play with a number of groups that each play two different types of music. As well I get the chance to do what I love, and get to tour through the club scene and even though my breakup that had me start guitar was painful, have recently been dating someone who I think is the perfect girl - and what's even better is that she loves my type of music even more than I do.
I was initially anxious about purchasing the Jamorama Guitar Lesson system. I normally don't like buying anything over the internet, and things like this are no exception. If anything, I'm always cautious about putting my credit card information out, as well as any type of person getting my personal information. I did a bit of research, however, and found out through a Jamorama Learn Guitar review that the program is sold through clickbank, which has a reputation for having good customer service as well as a rock solid 60 day return policy. I've purchased through them before, and on the rare time when I've had to return a purchase, never had any problems with managing the return.
I started out with Jamorama's guitar lesson package and set a certain amount of time every day to work with it. I have to say that overall, the system works - it just takes a bit of time and practice like everything else to ensure that you're putting in the time to make it work for you.
When you start off, there's a fair amount of getting used to handling the guitar. The most important thing that the system teaches you is how to learn slowly and steadily, and to follow along with what you're doing. There are a few different ways to learn, and overall it's a good system to follow along with. It's quite easy to move the instrument around once you get the hang of it. Every now and then I had a problem, but when that happened I just returned to the DVDs and started my focus again. The system is very easy to go back over and review.
Today, I'd say I'm about a good intermediate level player. I can make it sing when I want to, but still have a lot to learn from the masters. While it took a fair bit of work to get here, it was very rewarding and I'm glad I did it.
I'm looking forward to some of the advanced lessons - I'm personally not quite up to that skill level yet, however I've shown some of the advanced lessons to some of the guys in my gigging groups, and even though they've been playing guitar for years and don't seem like the type that still have anything to learn, they picked up a copy for themselves to practice at home.
I personally have to credit the Jamorama guitar lesson review with helping me with my skills as a guitar player. It's definitely had an impact on helping make me the guitar player I am today.
