The Way To Master The Piano

By Andy Penbram

You could have come on some home study courses for piano or keyboards if you've been looking for info on the right way to learn to play the piano. Or maybe you have thought of trying a piano instructor who will give you personal lessons. Whichever category you are in the fundamentals concerning how to master the piano stay the same.

There are a few points the piano student should take into account:

Get the basics right

We always have to begin with the fundamentals. You need to learn what you can about the instrument such as where the notes are, the pedals, the way the keys work and such like. If you could learn a little bit of basic theory of music and also a bit about the way to read music so you will be well prepared. You should find a good piano tutor or maybe even a home study course that can be found on the Internet, then make sure that you'll have acceptable time to put in a tiny bit of daily practice and you should be set to go.

Choosing the best piano music to practice is significant

Its crucial that you get hold of some good piano music to practice. You won't become inspired and will not advance as a piano player if you have chosen practice pieces that are above your current level. If you can pick short memorable pieces to practice then it will be a lot more straightforward to get them sounding good, especially if they're short enough for you to memorize. Try to learn a piece or two by ear, i.e. Listening to some music over and over and trying to play it yourself without music. You could try working out the chords or the tune or both. Hearing a song again and again again and then attempting to learn it on the piano will serve as a great help to training your ear which will come in extremely handy later.

This may get difficult

As you progress you'll find that there comes a time when it will become hard and testing. As you advance from absolute beginner piano level to intermediate then the learning process can become quite steep. There will be moments when this may become depressing. If you find this happening you need to just keep practicing knowing it is a normal part of the process. Do not be concerned if you get bogged down and feel that you are not making any progress as this is an ordinary part of the method, be assured that subliminally you are learning and one day soon it'll just all click as your brain and your hands suddenly begin to cooperate.

Add an individual touch to it

You can add your own individual touch to a the some of the pieces you are learning by changing it a touch just as when you hear two artists performing different versions of the same song. Attempt to play the piece in a adventuresome style. If you can have a great time and experiment a little then you will find the learning process will become even more easy. You may potentially need to learn boring pieces and play unexciting exercises during your learning period. Try to persist and not quit. You need to get through this beginner piano period before it is possible to progress onto more fascinating and adventurous playing.
